Methesis, the second collaboration between Manos Gerakinis and master perfumer Chris Maurice, owes its name to an ancient Greek word that signifies the communication between the senses and the ideas, the human and the divine. The fragrance is centered around fig, a fruit that has been timelessly cherished in Greece for its nectarous-sweet flavour, mouth-watering juiciness, and nutritional value.
Unmistakably gourmand, while being infinitely elegant, Methexis pairs the aroma of succulent, perfectly ripe figs with that of luscious, golden honey. The ambrosial experience is completed by delectable dried fruits, as well as generous sprinkles of cocoa and cinnamon. A balancing base of sparkling amber, airy musk, and grounding elements (patchouli, vetiver, cedar) ensures that the perfume’s epicurean and sensual aspects go hand in hand with sophistication.
