Description

Nuevalos

Nuevalos is a totally unprecedented gourmandmarine perfume.

Nuevalos is a perfume that hearkens to the times of those astonishing voyages led by the mighty Spanish explorers that would forever change the world and its civilizations. The perfume is a cocoa-saline fragrance that is, at the same time, very warm for those who are looking for an off-the-wall gourmand-marine scent.

Nuevalos is inspired by some of the major ship voyages made between Spain and the Americas by Hernán Cortés, who in 1524, sent the first shipment of cocoa to Spain. The Spanish explorer recognized the great value of the energizing drink drunk by the Aztecs and Mayans, which he used as an argument to present to King Carlos V. A single cup of cocoa was enough to keep a warrior in high gear throughout an entire day.

Thanks to the help of Hernán Cortés, it was Fray Jerónimo de Aguilar who sent the cocoa to the Monasterio de Piedra de Nuevalos, in the province of ZaragozaNuevalos is a perfume inspired by cocoa and the Atlantic Sea, but it is important to underline that it was in Nuevalos that cocoa was later combined with cane sugar for the first time in history to elaborate chocolate. Before the Spanish invented chocolate, cocoa was consumed as a cold drink that was bitter and spicy.

The cultivation of cocoa and its consumption have led to chocolate acquiring social, religious, medicinal, political, and economic relevance in a vast number of societies. Its spread, acceptance and distribution throughout the world is such that nowadays there is no region where its influence has not had an impact. Its consumption and subsequent production involve millions of people, as well as numerous nations around the world.
